fruit salad quilt

a new quilt..! this one is made from raoul's linen textile scraps and a few other finds. the backing is super soft old beacon blanket fabric.

banshees, brownies, norns, unicorns, dragons, fairies.. this lovely book by argentine author jorge luis borges with illustrations by peter sis, gives readers a well-rounded knowledge of imaginary beings. here is my new version of the original sis illustration.

Grandma Rosemary 1914- 2010

she lived 93 of her 96 years on our family's ranch, farming as we have in carpinteria for five generations. she was a wonderful painter of landscapes and flowers, a creative lady who loved to travel. she was full of love and contagious tears-down-the-cheeks laughter. i will miss her so!

dorothy iannone

dorothy iannone is an american artist. after meeting dieter roth on a trip in iceland with her husband, iannone left her husband and moved to europe in the 1960's. much of iannone's art is about her relationship with the german artist, illustrated through paper dolls drawings with captions.
